Learning Facial Reconstruction

The world of Forensic Art is a small one.  Therefore, back in the early 2000s, I found my way to, and learned from the absolute best in the field!  Betty Pat Gatliff, Karen Taylor and Caroline Wilkenson were my instructors and these three women were such an inspiration!  Though my stint as a forensic artist was relatively short, I cannot thank them enough for all they taught me.  Karen invented the 2-D reconstruction method and literally wrote the book of Forensic Art.  It is her case that I redid in the 2-dimentional drawing below.  In 3-D, I recreated Caroline's case, the sweet face of of a 5 y.o. girl, using the British method of rebuilding the muscles in clay. Returning to the workforce after having children was daunting, but these three teachers gave me what I needed to succeed and my art improved 10-fold.
