In some ways abstracts are a relief! Whew! Sometimes you just don't want to be tied down to a subject. Sometimes you just want to see color come alive and push paint around. Sometimes you haven't got anything prepped and no idea to speak of. That's where these come from.
But the struggle for texture is REAL! Acrylics are a very flat medium and they dry fast. So you you gotta keep moving and work hard to get shapes identified and give them life. While fast and furious is a great way to work things out and learn, I'm not sure it really suits me. (Of course, that's it, because it couldn't possibly be that I'm slowing down.....)
