Color and shape, of course, is what drives me, but occasionally I enjoy adding words or verse. This one was in preparation for my daughters wedding. It stood with framed photos of the grandparents and friends who didn't quite make it to this very special day.
Then I needed to do one for myself. I saw this cute saying and couldn't stop thinking of it. So I combined it with these pretty teacups. I chose warm colors which surprised no-one more than me! I am usually a cool color, ocean-loving gal. I think I have really expanded my vision with mosaics. Plus I get to be with a great group of artists during the creation process. It spurs me on in ways that I don't get while creating alone.
