I started taking Mosaics about 4 years ago with Cheryl Cohen in her Holliston studio. I love using all the ephemera that collects in the corners of life! Here, I was learning to cut glass which is a lot easier than I thought it would be. I find mosaics to be a much more relaxing process than painting. Acrylics and watercolor keep me frenzied & guessing at the exact mixture to get me the look I want. Mosaic pieces never really change, except into sizes I control. There's something entirely satisfying in finding and fitting shapes like a puzzle. And gluing is just so zen-like.
